What is an ecovillage?

A future we can live with. Ecovillages are self-identified communities committed to living in an ecologically, economically, culturally and spiritually sustainable way. Although the ecovillage movement has its roots in the intentionnal communities,’ movement, individuals, organizations, businesses, existing settlements and intentionnal communities/co-housing groups can all contribute to the ecovillage vision. Ecohamlet is the same but in a smaller number of residences in a rural area.
